2009 RTC programs begin Sept 5th, 6th or 13th
The BNS RTC program will begin Sept 5th, 6th or 13th around the province. Locations are Wolfville/Valley Area, Antigonish, New Glasgow, Bridgewater, Yarmouth, Amherst, Sydney, Truro and Metro. Actual times and gym locations will be posted as confirmed. Please be sure to check your start date!

FIBA RULES CLINIC


The Nova Scotia Basketball Officials Association will be holding a FIBA Rules Clinic. This is a great clinic for both new and experienced coaches. Each person in attendance will receive a FIBA Rules video and other handouts.

When: Saturday October 3rd 9:00am to 1:00pm
Where: Graham Creighton Jr High School
Cost: $20

2009 CP Program - BNS regrets to inform our membership that we will not be running a CP Program this year.
BNS has decide to put this program on the shelf for the next year in order to re-evaluate the program as a whole. For 2009 BNS will concentrate on the Regional Training Centres being offered across the Province. Our goal is to offer more quality coaching to more athletes across the province. RTC's will be offered in HRM, Sydney, Antigonish, New Glasgow, Truro, Amherst, Valley, Yarmouth with a new look and structure. Please click here for more details.




BNS U17 MEN'S TAKE SILVER AT CANADA GAMES!! WHAT A FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE AND WELL DESERVED REWARD!
BNS is very proud of our U17 boys who had a fantastic Games and after a real nail biter, came away with a SILVER medal. Quebec squeeked by to get the gold with a 105-103 victory with seconds left to play.

BNS congratulates Refs Brian States, Neil Deveau, Mary Alice Butts and Ryan Lutes - selected to do championship rounds at the Canada Games
These 4 refs did such an exceptional job while reffing in PEI that they were chosen to do the Championship rounds. Brian reffed the men's final, Neil reffed the women's final, Mary Alice reffed the women's bronze and Ryan the men's bronze. It is fantastic for the professionalism of the NS referees to be recognized in such a rewarding way. Well done and rightly deserved.
