reps - SQUADS FOR SEASON 2010
Thankyou to all players for your time and effort in trialing with MWBA. Unfortunately we need to form squads as part of the process to forming our 2010 teams, and we cannot take everyone. If you missed out this year, please continue to work hard and continue playing local competition, and hopefully we will see you back to trial again next year.
The successful athletes will be expected to attend ALL Friday development sessions, as well as any team session that is put on between October and December. The process will occur as follows:
1) Friday October 16th squad session begins
2) November 6th - 1st cut of squads
3) Squad sessions continue November 7th - 27th
4) Teams announced on website December 2nd
5)Team session Friday December 4th.
The list of athletes who have made squads in their respective age groups is listed on their home team page at the bottom of this Representative page.

learn - HOLIDAY CAMP OCTOBER
MWBA will be hosting a holiday camp during the October school holidays.
Dates: 13th, 14th & 5th October.
Time: 1pm to 3pm
Cost: $60
All age groups welcome
Special guests, expert coaching, competitions with great prizes.

reps - YLW CHAMPIONS 2009
Congratulations to our Youth League Womens team who are the CHAMPIONS for 2009. They survived a tough semi final against Sydney City winning by 1 point to go through to the Grand Final, where they faced last years champions, Bathurst. This again was another torrid encounter, that went right down to the wire, with the Sea Eagles taking the
match 53 to 51. Most of these girls have stuck together since under 12's and they could not have been happier.
Bianca Penning was the MVP and Elise Pitcher Best defensive player. Well Done girls.

Unfortunately our ABA men went down in their Grand Final to Parramatta losing by 5.
Ben Arkell was named MVP of the league and also All Star 5, with Coach Jim Arkell taking out Coach of the year.

A great season for our senior club with our ABAW reaching quarter finals, and our Youth League men reaching semi finals.

Please find attached a Metro Development flyer for the U11 age group born in 1999. This will take place at Bankstown Basketball Stadium on Wed 7th October. This is a great opportunity to improve your basketball for the coming Rep season.
