MILTONSTAGS BASKET BALL

The fastest growing youth basketball club in Milton. It was founded to promote the development of youth in the community of Peel and Halton region. Our goal is to provide basketball activities that offer social, recreational and physical developments. Stags is involved in the development and growth of amateur basketball in the province and proud member of Basketball Ontario (www.basketball.on.ca); affiliated with Town of Milton and working for the betterment of leisure activities in the community (www.milton.ca).

Steve Nash Youth Basketball Fall Program for Rookie Division (Born 2001, 2002 & 2003) is now "FULL". If you'd like your child's name added to our waiting list for Winter and Spring Program 2010, please send an email to registration@stagsbasketball.com.

There are few spaces left for NCAA Division (Born 2000, 1999 & 1998) and NBA Division(Born 1997, 1996 & 1995) for Fall Program 2009. Please register as soon as possible.

Stags Summer Camp - July 2009. Thank you parents for a great week! The coaching staff would like to thank you for driving the kids to and from camp each day. Congratulations to all participants, they worked hard all week, had so much "FUN" and showed tremendous improvement on their basketball skills.



JULY 31, 2009

Congratulations to Basketball Ontario Elite Team - MDP Central West (CW) for winning the silver medals at the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) National Tournament (9th Grade) in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA. Recognized as one of the highest competitve national tournament in the States. In pool play, CW beat previous champions Buckeye Ohio (47-35), MBC Indiana (68-67) with several NCAA D1 prospects, Mid Michigan (60-58) with one D1 prospect. In quarter finals they defeated Spiece Indiana (81-51), in the semi-finals they knocked off last year's champions Mustang Hoops from Ohio (with several NCAA D1 prospects). They settled for Silver in the finals with a lost to the Predators (68-54), last year's runner-ups from Springfield, Illinois. 

Central West Team is a selection of top Grade 9 athletes from Mississauga, Oakville, Brampton, Milton and Burlington. Team roster includes, Milton Stags' Mikey Borlongan, who also participated in the tournament's 3-point competition. Team is headed by Coach Warren Williams of Applewood Heights SS.

2009 Mega Hoops Mania. Every year, Ontario Basketball runs Mega Hoops skill development clinics throughout the community for children 5 to 14 years old. These
clinics are designed to increase participation and skill levels in Ontario's basketball community.

This year, Mega Hoops Mania will be hosted at Durham College on March 14th 
from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Milton Stags will send (4) of it's current members (boys & girls ages from 5-14) to attend this clinic on scholarships, sponsored by corporations through Stags. Click here for more information and how to apply for scholarship for your child.

Stags Basketball Programs Eligible for Children's Fitness Tax Credit

Starting with the 2007 tax year, the Government of Canada allows a non-refundable tax credit based on eligible fitness expenses paid by parents to register a child in a prescribed program of physical activity. Our BASKETBALL programs qualifies as prescribed programs of physical activity for the purposes of this credit. Stags Basketball Club is a not-for-profit organization, incorporated through Ministry of Government Services bearing an Ontario Corporation Number. Parents will receive a detailed receipt upon registering their child/children in our programs.
