How to Become a #1 Sports Fan

Being a fan of the same team over several years takes a lot of persistence and patience. It's a wonderful feeling when your team wins that "Big Game" because it makes us feel like winners too. On the other hand, coping with your team losing can be very depressing, discouraging, and gloomy.

Win or lose, I have listed some steps below that you can exercise to become a #1 Sports Fan.

1. If you have not done so already, choose a team whether it be the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA, Cricket, Soccer, Etc. Once you have decided on your team, you will need to exercise team patience and have a big heart because losing is unfortunately a part of being a fan.

2. Show team spirit and stay loyal to that team. There are many ways you can show team spirit: I have seen people with stickers and tags of their favorite team on their cars; I have seen friends' rooms decorated with sports logos, wallpaper, and even bedroom sheets. The ways in which you can showcase team spirit are endless if you use a little creativity. I also know people that switch teams every season just because their team is losing. Please don't abandon your team when they are down because they will most likely turn things around and be great again.

3. Have a mentality of being an active sports fan. You have to go to the games, the sports bars, or maybe even tailgate parties to surround yourself with other like-minded sports fan to help you cheer for your team when they are winning or console you when they are losing.
