NBA - Cavs beat Knicks with LeBron James making 52 poin

In a great game on this past Wednesday at the Madison Square Garden, the Knicks were not able to get the victory whereas the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar player LeBron James set a record scoring 52 points with a triple-double and adding to that the 10 rebounds and 11 assists. His contribution and the team work gave the Cavaliers their 39th victory of the season with a score of 107-102.

However, despite the result, it was a good night for the Knicks which played a great game as well and by that recovered their fans that seemed lost in the previous game since the crowd was shouting for Kobe Bryant, when he got to score 61 points, set a new record and of course got the victory to his team 126-117. Nevertheless, that past result gave some courage to the Knicks and against the Cavaliers they played with a lot of energy and desire, but even so, they couldn’t stop James and his team.

LeBron James didn’t broke the points’ record Kobe Bryant set last Monday in the same court, however, James did a triple-double, which is his 21st on his career. Moreover, it’s worth mentioning that this triple-double has the most amount of points in the NBA history, the last player who did a triple-double with at least 50 points was Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1975. However, James did not intent to set any record when he got out to the court; he just wanted to win the game.

"I don't go out there for the numbers, I just play my game," James said. "You guys have seen every phase of my game tonight, the scoring, the rebounding, the assists and defensively just trying to attack the opposing team. I never thought you could look at the box score and see somebody with 50 with a triple-double, but it's happened."

James also explained that players like himself and Kobe just go out an play thinking on winning the games and not in the kind of show or performance they are going to have for a particular game; sometimes they go out and play and they turn out to be great games, they don’t think in the amount of points they are going to score.

On Wednesday’s game the main contributors for the Cavs, besides of course the King James, were Zydrunas Ilgauskas with 15 points and Szczerbiak with 12 points and 13 rebounds. The Cavaliers have won four straight games and eight out of the last nine games. For the New York Knicks, Al Harrington scored 39 points and David Lee added 12 points and 10 rebounds on a week that so far is going 0-2 for the Knicks. This New York team called this the “Dream Week” because of the games they have been facing against the Lakers, Cavaliers and not yet, the Celtics.

The Cavaliers are now getting prepared to face the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday at Cleveland, where the home team has a record of 23-0 this season. This game has been one of the most expected games for a lot of fans since all of them are waiting to see the confrontation of LeBron James and Kobe Bryant fighting for a great performance and bringing both their best basketball to their teams and seeking for the victory.
